Well the weekend is over, and I don’t feel like I got much done. The house is a total disaster right now. Since Carson stayed home with me on Thursday, I haven’t been able to get much of anything cleaned since last Tuesday. Oh wait, I painted the kitchen last Tuesday…so it’s been about 2 weeks. Anyway, trust me, it’s a big nightmare. It’s to the point where I just can’t stand it anymore. Clutter is everywhere and that makes me feel insane.
We had a low key weekend. Of course all of our weekends are low key because we’ve become extremely boring people. I went to Home Depot with Carson yesterday, Mark’s mowed the yard and we took them to the park for about 30 minutes today. That’s it. Exciting stuff.
Carson was acting weird again today. He hasn’t had a fever since Friday, but he just isn’t acting like himself. I guess it could be teething, but he wasn’t like this when his first (and only) tooth came in. Nothing makes him happy, and he just fusses and throws little tantrums all day. It is completely out-of-character for him.
Kate, on the other hand, has had a fantastic weekend. She has been bursting with happiness, and she really seems confused by all of the attention Carson has been getting. Every time we are trying (usually without much success) to calm down Carson on the couch, she will come over and stand there trying to figure out what all the drama is about. Well, this afternoon, Carson accidentally kicked her right in the face while throwing a tantrum in my arms. She fell back and landed on her butt, then looked at him like, ‘What the hell?!’ Amazingly, she didn’t cry and she wasn’t hurt, but if looks could kill…
