What I Found On My Old Laptop…

Now that the twins are all over the place, I decided to dig out my old laptop — the one I mostly used for my real estate business a few years ago — so I could get on the computer in the living room while still watching Kate and Carson. I haven’t looked at this laptop in well over a year, at least, and it was like Christmas morning all over again. I looked at old emails, old documents and found some old photos.

What’s funny is the amount of arm’s length self-portraits I found. Silly, just pure silly. Not sure what I was thinking, but here are a few…

Slightly out-of-focus, but there is something about this photo that makes me look like my mom when she was that age.

I can’t tell if I look mean or just serious in this one.

This was taken on our 2nd wedding anniversary (2005). My dad died the very next day.

I even found some old photos of our old house in Georgetown (2 houses ago). I always thought this was such a perfect house for just the two of us. It was the right size and layout for a childless couple.

I even found my mom’s high school graduation photo on the laptop. I love the flip! (She is probably cringing right now.)

Anyway, the weather has been perfect here. Mark is out fishing, and the twins and I are possibly planning a trip to the neighborhood park. Everyone is happy, healthy, well-rested, and in good spirits. In fact, Kate went to bed at 7 PM and slept until 6 AM. Then she briefly got up and then slept until 10 AM! Good grief! Perhaps all of this sleeping explains why she doesn’t nap anymore.

Now that Carson’s room is finished and I am on hold with Kate’s until her bed arrives, I’ve decided that my next project is our master bathroom. I truly can’t stand it. I am planning on painting it, installing new light fixtures and perhaps putting a frame on the mirrors.
